dyson dc18 vacuum cleanerThis new upright is Dyson’s answer to the call for a lighter model. While it has the same yellow and gray, sleek and stylish design, the main components are made smaller, or slimmer, to reduce weight.

Dyson dc18 vacuum cleaner Features:

  • The same advanced Root Cycloneâ„¢ Technology which provides constant suction no matter how full the dirt canister gets.
  • Similar to the Ball, this upright provides effortless steering. Simply tilt the vacuum in the desired direction and you’ll make tight turns with ease.
  • Clean air exhaust means the air coming out has 150 times less bacteria and mold than the air going in.
  • Quick draw Telescopic Reachâ„¢ extends to over 41 ft.
  • HEPA filtration approved for allergy sufferers.
  • 25 ft. electrical cord.
  • Keep you hands clean with the hygienic dirt canister.
  • Lightweight design at only 15.8 lbs makes it easier to carry up and down the stairs.

Power and maintenance:
Motor has 200 airwatts. Dyson states that airwats is the proper measure of a vacuum’s power. There is very little maintenance involved with this bagless except - as with all vacuums that use HEPA filters - the dirt must be removed from the filter regularly. Accessories: Expendable cleaning wand and long extension hose.

This vacuum doesn’t come with all the usual attachments. Pros: This bagless has all the power you’d expect to out perform ordinary vacuum cleaners. Owners are amazed at how much more dirt the Dyson will suck up right after the carpet is vacuumed with another brand. Steering is very easy making the job more thorough and completed sooner. The extension wand is great for reaching ceilings, stairs, and drapes. As always, this bagless is perfect for owners of long haired pets. Cons: Dyson is not know for having quiet motors, but most owners say this is outweighed ed by the benefits.

The HEPA filter must be cleaned regularly in order to maintain good suction. This is a very common issue with all vacuum cleaners that use HEPA filters. The price may seem excessive until you check prices on comparable brands like Rainbow or Kirby. Here’s a good test comparison on video:
